Question by slimy space witch: How to fix my laptop battery?
When I got my laptop the battery could go up to 2 or 3 hours wireless. Now it could only go to 30 minutes. Can you please tell me how to get it back up to 2 hours?

What has happened is that over time the Lithium-Ion cells have died, they cannot come back to life. It is time to buy a new battery. If you had purchased a extended warrenty, these sometimes cover a one time battery replacement depending on where you bought it.

would a new laptop battery cause the laptop to be quicker?

i think this should be the case when the computor is running from the battery because a new battery will be able to output more then power then the old battery, so the processor will be able to work faster like it is when its plugged in

does anyone know if this is the case?

Question by M: Where can I buy a new laptop battery?
I have a Lenovo laptop. I’m not sure the exact model, but I’ve had it for about 3 or 4 years now. It works fine, but the battery life is very short (20 minutes or so, at the most) so I’m thinking I should look into getting a new battery for it.
Any ideas on where I can find new batteries for Lenovo laptops? We got the laptop itself from a computer networking place called ClickAway, but they are extremely overpriced, and always trying to sell you “the latest thing”. I’m not even sure if they carry laptop batteries.
Are they available somewhere like RadioShack, or Best Buy?
and also, how much would it cost?

a higher number of cells then the one that came /w your laptop..

ie..most ship w/ 8cell batteries, but you can buy 12 cell batteries in most cases..this will increase your battery lifetime..
