Need a one where the batteries hold the charge longer. Most charge up fast but dont last long and dont hold the charge long.

Question by jnk686: When I turn the key to my car the battery turns on but the engine doesn’t start. What is wrong?
1995 Buick LeSabre. This problem has occurred several times, however after I try a few more times the car will start. The battery comes on, but not the engine. What would you guess is the problem? The ignition switch? I am contemplating buying a new car so I don’t want to dump too much money into this car to repair, but would like to get another year out of it if I could. What do you think?

Question by anonomama: would installing a game to my laptops hard drive give it longer battery life over one running from cd?
going to Japan and I know my laptop battery wont last the trip but which will allow the battery to last longer? running a game from the hard drive of the laptop or running a game from a cd in the cd drive of the laptop? does the same apply to movies? would shutting off the wifi capabilities of the laptop while in flight extend battery life? i know for my phone it says that turning off wifi can extend battery life. i know screen brightness and temperature has to do with battery life.

All things contribute to longer battery life (mostly brightness and processing power ussage). So the less processes you have the less batery power you should use. Not sure about the cd but you can give it a shot though i doubt that it would give you a lot more battery power (maybe a couple of minutes)

The battery is in the flash light for a long time. I believe the battery acid is leaking from its shell. Is there a way to remove the battery?

You should just be able to remove them both the normal way. Sometimes the acid can rust out connections. I’d just try to wipe it clean and try new batteries and if it works, save the money, if not then you’ll have to get new.

I found a cell phone in my house recently under my couch. It has no battery and the back is also missing. I don’t know who’s it is, and none of my friends are missing a phone. It has the label inside the phone where the battery is suppose to be and I was wondering if there was a way to find out the name of the person that the phone belongs to by this information. Thanks.

What’s written on the phone ? Any other info in the front ? Like Verizon or AT&T or T-Mobile ? Anyways, if it shows any carrier, just call that carrier and tell them the IMEI or the ESN that’s printed on the label. Ask them for more info. You can do another thing, if it’s GSM then check if the phone for the SIM. You can take it out, put it in your phone and call a person from the contact list. Tell them about the phone and you found it and wanna return. But I think as the phone is left with no back cover and battery, someone might have left it and don’t want it back.
