Question by : Advantages to owning a cell phone that plays music?
Other than having less to carry, what is the advantage of a cell that plays MP3s? I have dropped my iPod while working out. If I dropped my phone that much I’d be out a phone and a music player. Better to have a phone that does both or just have both a phone and music player? Opinions on battery life, repairs, etc. apprciated.

Actually none!!!!!! COST money to download, + callcharges!! +
you have a 90% chance you wont download properly or you don’t get it + you will get something added that is NOT wanted, repair bill depends what problem, also you can lose your downloaded tunes quicker this way!!!!!!!!

Question by Brian: Can I use my Sprint discount at Best Buy?
I get a 23% discount on mobile phone plans from Sprint via my employer. I am able to apply this discount directly on the Sprint website and was wondering if I went to a brick and mortar Best Buy if I could have that discount applied when I sign my contract or if I will need to contact Sprint afterward.

I work for Best Buy Mobile. I think Best Buy Mobile is so much better than going to the carrier store. If you have an email address from your company you can go to your online account and type your email address in and get your discount applied. I did it and it was super easy, because I have an @bestbuy.com email address. If you do not have an email address we are able to put a discount on if you have a discount ID from your employer. I would also bring proof of employment to Best Buy. Discounts on cell phone plans are always a pain to get started, no matter where you get the phone. But once it is started it is well worth it. Plus the phones are cheaper at Best Buy. Also ask the sales person about Geek Squad Black Tie protection…its cheaper than carrier insurance and it covers EVERYTHING (except lost or stolen, and full water submersion). But it even covers a battery, charger, cracked screen, running it over with a lawnmower…you name it…as long as it was an accident. It really is a great deal! Happy Shopping!

would a new laptop battery cause the laptop to be quicker?

i think this should be the case when the computor is running from the battery because a new battery will be able to output more then power then the old battery, so the processor will be able to work faster like it is when its plugged in

does anyone know if this is the case?

Question by mentalfission: How important is it to fully charge a cell phone before initially using it?
Just bought a phone and they recommend charging it for 5 hours before initial use “to get the most life out of your phone”. I remember reading somewhere that due to advancements made in lithium-ion batteries, that this was no longer necessary. Is that true? Can I charge it for 2 hours or so, take it with me to work, and then fully charge it later tonight?
